‘Cosmic Fear’ is an appropriately titled track, as Jack Wakeman & The Dreamstriders merge a playful but slightly foreboding feeling with a spacey, synth-led sound. He opens with an instantly relatable line, ‘I’ve done it, I’ve made too much rice again’, and goes from there. It’s a track about optimism that comes from a dark time in which Wakeman developed an intense fear of space. “It’s okay to not understand the meaning of everything...leaving some things a mystery is often where we can find magic in our lives,” he says. It’s a dreamy track that’ll stay stuck in your head for weeks. -Dan Peeke
